It’s educational and insightful, and most definitely emotional all at the same time.
3. Fighting for Our Future: As breast cancer is such a hot topic these days, this documentary is a great watch. This follows young women with breast cancer as they move throughout the healthcare system, and therefore is rather insightful. This is sure to gain in popularity with the recent attention on preventative measures towards breast health.
4. Code Gray-Ethical Dilemmas in Nursing: This particular documentary h has been around for quite some time, but this is an important one to watch. You can see firsthand how healthcare professionals handle ethical issues, and what the outcomes are. You can also see what a pivotal role nurses play in patient care and the structure of a hospital.
5. The Business of Being Born: This documentary has gained much attention as it focuses on alternatives for women who don’t wish to follow the traditional path for having a baby. It shows how childbirth is handled within a healthcare system, and how a woman can work through alternative methods and use them to her advantage.
6. A Delicate Balance-The Truth: This documentary features interviews and firsthand accounts of how things really work within the walls of a hospital. That makes it an important accounting and a rather insightful point of view to the common patient or the individual who wishes to learn more about what doctors and healthcare professionals really think.
7. Farrah’s Story: This has gained in popularity, even more so after Farrah Fawcett’s death. This real life account by the famous actress follows her through her battle with cancer and how she had to work through the healthcare system. As cancer continues to be a struggle for so many, this can be a very eye opening documentary to watch.

Though some of these documentaries are quite popular and others not as much, they all offer a unique perspective and a real life accounting. That makes these well worth watching to learn how the healthcare system works, in and out.
